Overview of 2nd Grade Art
In Kindergarten, students explore the theme of Community.
Students will examine this theme through Big Ideas, including:

People create communities to help each other.

There are many different types of communities.

Living things form communities.

People have responsibilities within a community.

Artists build communities.
-
Communities can develop their own unique ways to create and appreciate art.

Culture and traditions have influenced the design of artwork produced by communities throughout history.
